Econ Park

Long stay

$15 per day near-terminal parking without garage prices

Econ Park at MDW runs $15 per day and sits next to the Main terminal complex, so you’re not burning money just to leave the car. It’s set up for long-stay parking, so the math starts to beat the terminal garage once you cross a couple of days.

The lot is officially “Economy” parking and connects to the Main terminal by shuttle, not a direct walkway. Shuttles run in a loop and the airport advertises about a 10-minute ride, so build in that extra time on both departure and return. Compared with the terminal garage rates, a week parked here usually saves a solid chunk of cash.

Econ Park is fully on-airport, which means you’re not dealing with off-site operators or unclear pickup spots. You park, wait at the signed shuttle stop, and ride about 10 minutes to the Main terminal entrances for ticketing and security. For early morning flights, aim to be parked at least 60–75 minutes before boarding to cover parking, the shuttle, and TSA.

If you usually stay at one of the on-airport or near-airport hotels and park there, check their nightly parking fee against Econ Park’s $15 per day. For trips longer than 3–4 days, Econ Park often wins on price once you add hotel taxes and fees. Pre-booking sometimes locks in the day rate, so check the official MDW parking page before you drive in.

Tip: On your return, note the Econ Park shuttle signs at the Main terminal curb and confirm with the driver that the bus is going to the economy lot before you load bags.
