Costa Coffee

T1

Near the main gates in T1, Costa Coffee anchors the cafe options.

This Costa sits airside in Terminal 1 at Muscat International Airport, handy if your flight leaves from the central gate cluster. It runs long hours in line with T1’s busy departure waves, so you can usually grab a drink on early-morning Gulf connections or late-night red-eyes. Expect standard Costa branding and menu, not a local spin-off.

Drinks follow the usual UK-style Costa lineup: espresso, cappuccino, flat white, iced lattes, and seasonal specials. Prices run higher than downtown Muscat; budget around 2.5–3.5 OMR for most medium coffees and a bit more for flavored or iced options. If you only have 10–15 minutes before boarding, stick to hot espresso-based drinks, which come out faster than blended or extra-customized orders.

Food is mostly pre-made sandwiches, panini, and pastries in the display case. Expect simple fills like chicken, cheese, or tuna, plus croissants and muffins, with most items landing between 1.5 and 3 OMR. It’s fine for a quick bite between regional flights on Oman Air or low-cost carriers in T1, but this is not a full meal stop like a sit-down restaurant elsewhere in the terminal.

Seating is limited and spills directly into the T1 concourse, so during peak departures around the 22:00–02:00 bank it can be hard to find a chair. Power outlets near the tables are hit-or-miss, so don’t count on charging a laptop while you drink your coffee. If your gate is at the far end of T1, factor in a 5–10 minute walk back to boarding.

Practical tip: order and pay first, then check your gate screens while you wait; at busy times in T1, drinks can take 5 minutes and final calls in Muscat often start a full 30 minutes before departure.
