The VIP Terminal Lounge works more like a private terminal than a standard contract lounge in T1. You arrive by car at a dedicated entrance, clear formalities inside the VIP building, and then transfer to your aircraft separately from gates A–F in the main hall. Think protocol guests, paid VIP packages, and airline-arranged handling, not walk-in day passes at 15 OMR.

You won’t find clear public pricing, but packages sold through some agencies quote three-figure USD amounts per passenger, often over 100–150 USD depending on services. Those bundles usually wrap lounge time with private check-in, escort through immigration, and sometimes car transfers to the aircraft steps. Food and drink then come as part of that single VIP fee, not as itemized extras like a 2 OMR coffee.

Inside, expect the standard VIP terminal mix: individual seating areas instead of a large shared hall, full soft drinks and coffee, and plated hot dishes instead of self-serve buffets. Given typical Gulf VIP setups, you’re looking at restaurant-style orders and staff service rather than queuing at a counter. Hours generally mirror Muscat’s 24-hour flight schedule, but usage peaks around the heavy-bank departures between 23:00 and 03:00, when long-haul flights to Europe and Asia push out of MCT.
