Trains run from MCO Terminal C to Miami in about 3.5 hours

Brightline runs from Orlando International Airport’s Terminal C station to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Aventura, and West Palm Beach, giving you a rail option instead of I‑95 or a short hop flight. The station connects directly to Terminal C via walkways; from Terminals A or B, plan 10–15 minutes to reach the train area using the terminal train and escalators. Trains run multiple times per day, so you can usually match one to most mid-morning through evening arrivals.

From MCO to MiamiCentral, scheduled travel time sits around 3.5 hours, with West Palm Beach about 2 hours away. Brightline sells two main products: Smart (standard) and Premium (upgraded seating and extras). You book by specific departure time, like a flight, and tickets are date and train specific rather than open-ended. If you’re timing a same-day connection from an inbound flight, leave at least 90 minutes between actual block-in and your train departure to cover bags, customs if needed, and the walk to Terminal C.

Pricing on Brightline is dynamic, but on many dates Smart fares between Orlando and Miami often land roughly between $79–$149 one way, with Premium higher. Premium usually includes a quieter coach, snacks, and drinks; Smart gets you reserved seating and access to onboard food for purchase. Kids’ pricing sometimes undercuts adult fares significantly, especially on off-peak departures. If you see a fare spike on your target time, check the trains one slot earlier or later; even a 30‑minute shift can save real money.

At the MCO station in Terminal C, Brightline runs its own check-in and security-style boarding gates; boarding usually opens around 15–20 minutes before departure and closes a few minutes before the posted time. The station building includes seating, restrooms, and basic food and drink options. If your inbound flight lands in Terminals A or B, you’ll transfer to the Terminal C side via the airport’s automated people mover in under 5 minutes, then follow signs marked "Train Station" and "Brightline."

Onboard, trains offer power outlets at most seats, Wi‑Fi throughout the coaches, and luggage racks near doors in addition to overhead bins. Travel time between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale clocks in around 3 hours, and West Palm Beach about 2 hours, so plan laptop battery or work blocks around those numbers. You keep your large bags with you instead of checking them, so factor in what you can comfortably roll and lift into the rack during boarding.

Practical tip: Build a 2-hour buffer between your scheduled flight arrival and Brightline departure if you’re checking bags at MCO, and aim for flights into Terminal C when possible to shave 10–15 minutes off the airport-to-train transfer.
