Martin City Brewing Company

★ 4.5 $$$$

Personal pizza and a beer flight before T-gate boarding

Post-security in Terminal T, Martin City Brewing Company brings the Kansas City brewery into the airport with taproom energy and a 4.5-star Google rating. It’s sit-down service with a bar that fills fast around the 3–7 p.m. departure wave, plus some high-tops for overflow. Expect mid-range airport pricing ($$), with drafts running higher than at the downtown locations and food squarely in “airport normal” territory.

The menu leans hard into pizza, and that’s the move here. Regulars say they split one of the personal pizzas with a friend and run a couple of beers if their layover is an hour or more. Bar snacks and other pub grub exist, but review after review calls the pizzas the standout, especially compared with generic burgers you can get elsewhere in MCI’s Terminal T options.

Beer is the other draw: the tap list features Martin City’s own craft lineup, and several travelers highlight the chance to order a beer flight instead of committing to a full pint. One Google reviewer literally wrote, “Beer flight and a personal pizza before my flight – way better than your average airport meal.” If your connection is short, locals suggest grabbing a single draft and skipping food entirely to avoid clock anxiety.

Watch out for kitchen timing. Multiple reviews mention food taking 25–35 minutes when the bar is three-deep, even as the bartender keeps drinks moving quickly. Another traveler noted that beer came out in a few minutes, while their food lagged behind significantly. Factor that in if you’re boarding from a nearby T-gate within the half hour.

Seats at the bar reportedly disappear fast in the late afternoon, especially during the 4–6 p.m. departure bank, so grab a stool as soon as you see one open and then review the taps and pizza list from there.
