On some Manchester T2 maps, Hangar shows up but reviews don’t. That tells you it’s a low-profile option in the new Terminal 2, not one of the names locals rave about. It sits airside in T2, so you’re fine once you’re through security; just don’t expect the buzz you see around the main chains here.
Pricing in T2 sits in the usual UK airport range, so plan on £4–£5 for coffee and £12–£18 for a sit-down main at Hangar. If you just want a quick pint before a Jet2 or TUI flight, that’s likely the safer play than committing to a full meal from an untested menu. Figure 30–40 minutes minimum if you order anything cooked; T2 kitchens often slow down around the 06:30–09:00 and 17:00–19:00 banks.
Because there’s almost no traveller chatter about Hangar, assume a pretty standard UK airport bar-and-grill setup: burgers, wings, sandwiches, maybe a veggie option, and the usual draught lagers. If you care about a specific beer or a proper breakfast, the more established units in T2 probably hit more reliably. Hangar can still work if your gate in T2 is close and you just want one plate and a drink within eyesight of the screens.
Hangar sits after security in T2, so you can clear the new central checkpoint, walk straight into the commercial area, and decide there if it looks worth your time. If you’ve got under 45 minutes to boarding at MAN T2, skip a full sit-down here and grab takeaway from a nearby chain instead; use Hangar only when you’ve got that extra hour to spare and don’t feel like walking further down the pier.
