10–15 minute shuttle run from JetParks 1 to MAN
JetParks 1 is Manchester Airport’s long-stay economy car park, aimed at week-long trips more than quick overnights. It sits off Thorley Lane and serves both T2 and T3 with regular shuttle buses. You keep your keys here, so the car stays exactly where you leave it for the length of your booking.
Buses typically run every 10–15 minutes and drop at the main forecourts for T2 and T3. The ride itself is about 10 minutes in light traffic, but at busy 06:00–08:00 morning waves you should budget closer to 25–30 minutes door to door from parking space to terminal doors.
Pricing moves a lot, but JetParks 1 usually undercuts the on-airport multi‑storeys by a noticeable margin for 7–14 day stays. Prebooking online gets the best rates; turning up at the barrier on the day is almost always the most expensive option. Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) reads your car registration at the gate, so entry and exit are usually barrier‑up in a couple of seconds.
This is an open-air surface car park with marked bays, so in heavy rain or winter wind you are exposed for the short walk to the shuttle stop. Lighting columns run through most rows, which helps if you are arriving for a 04:30 flight or landing back at 23:00. There are trolley bays in several lanes, useful if you are dragging two checked bags and kids’ gear.
Practical tip: on arrival, take a quick photo of your row number and nearest bus stop sign before heading for the shuttle; it saves a slow wander through the lanes when you return tired from T2 or T3.
