Relay

T4

By T4’s main departures area, Relay fills the newsstand gap.

This Relay in Terminal T4 sits airside after security, along the main passenger flow toward the Schengen gates, so you pass it naturally on most departures. It’s the classic grab-and-go stop: magazines, Spanish and international newspapers, paperbacks, basic stationery, and last‑minute travel items. Expect airport pricing, but nothing outrageous for Madrid.

Opening hours in T4 typically track the morning and evening bank of flights, with doors open from around 6:00 until late at night, so early IB departures and late European arrivals still catch it open. Stock runs the usual Relay mix: bottled water, soft drinks, packaged snacks, gum, and a small rack of gifts with “Madrid” on them if you forgot a souvenir in the city.

Figure on paying around €1.50–€3 for a drink and €2–€5 for snacks or sweets, slightly more for branded souvenirs or travel accessories like universal adapters or power banks. If you need a pen for forms, a cheap umbrella, or a replacement charging cable before boarding in T4, this is one of the few spots that consistently has them on the shelf.

Practical tip: hit Relay right after security in T4 for water and reading material so you don’t have to backtrack from your gate later when boarding for your flight is already showing on the screens.
