Gate-side duty free in T2 before most Schengen departures
Dufry Duty Free in Terminal T2 sits airside after security, right along the main path to the Schengen gates, so you almost can’t miss it on the way to boarding. It runs typical morning-to-late-evening hours that track with the first and last flights out of T2, so you can usually count on it being open for both 06:00 departures and late-night returns.
Prices track standard EU duty free: 1L whisky bottles often land around €18–€25, with multi-pack cigarette cartons and 3-for-2 deals on spirits stacked near the entrance. Spanish wines and cava get their own stand, with plenty of options under €10, plus some Rioja bottles climbing into the €20–€30 range if you want something nicer without leaving the terminal.
Cosmetics and perfume take up most of the middle floor space, with the usual big brands and frequent 20–30% promos on second items; it’s one of the easiest spots in T2 to dump remaining euros on skincare or last‑minute gifts. You’ll also find standard chocolates, turrón, and olive oil tins marked “España” within a few steps of the liquor shelves, handy for quick souvenirs between gates.
Lines spike about 30–40 minutes before peak T2 departures, especially around early Ryanair and Air Europa banks, so pay first, then wander back toward your gate. Tip: if you just need a bottle or chocolate, head to the back of the store where the second set of tills usually has shorter queues.
