Burger King

Whopper meal before boarding in T4

Burger King at Madrid–Barajas sits airside in T4, so you clear security first, then follow fast-food signs near the central food court. It runs from early morning through late evening (roughly 7:00–23:00), which covers most Iberia and oneworld departures out of this terminal.

Menu is standard Burger King Spain: Whopper, Double Whopper, Chicken Royale, King Nuggets, plus a basic breakfast lineup with coffee and pastries before 11:00. Expect combo prices in the €9–€13 range, with solo burgers around €5–€7. Vegetarian options are limited to the plant-based Whopper and salads, so this is mainly a burger-and-fries stop.

Seating sits in the open concourse area, with about a dozen tables clustered just off the main T4 walkway between gates H and J. It fills fast at midday between 12:30 and 14:30 when Madrid-origin flights bank out, so landing a seat for a family of four can take a few minutes. Many people just grab bags and eat at the gate if boarding starts within 30 minutes.

Service speed swings a lot: during quiet mid-mornings (around 10:00–11:00) orders can be out in under 5 minutes, but at peak you might stand 10–15 minutes in line, then wait another 5–10 for food. If your boarding pass says “last call” in under 25 minutes, skip the long line and grab something pre-made from a nearby kiosk instead.

Soda refills are not free here, and a large drink runs about €3, so order the size you actually want. Card payments, Apple Pay, and Google Pay all work, and self-service kiosks usually speed things up slightly compared with ordering at the counter.

Practical tip: if you’re connecting from T4S, budget at least 20 extra minutes for the train ride each way and order here only if you have 90 minutes or more between flights.
