Gate level is one floor down; The Lounge sits above it.

The Lounge sits airside in Terminal A, just after security and before the escalators down to the departure level, on the right side of the corridor. Many first-timers walk straight downstairs toward gates A10–A20 and only realize later they passed the entrance. Build the buffer and look for the discrete “The Lounge” sign before you commit to the escalator.

Hours run 04:00–21:00 Monday to Friday, 04:00–18:00 Saturday, and back to 04:00–21:00 on Sunday, but recent reports mention occasional early closures in the evening. Priority Pass and Amex Platinum both get you in at Terminal A, so most non-Luxair premium passengers funnel here. Check your app or Amex’s site on the day of travel if you plan to rely on the lounge for dinner after a 19:00 flight.

This is technically a contract lounge, not a dedicated Luxair or Lufthansa facility, and Miles & More Frequent Traveller members on LH/LX flights lost automatic status access when Lufthansa reclassified it. If you fly often through LUX and used to walk in on FTL alone, assume that changed and bring a Priority Pass, Amex Platinum, or a business class boarding pass instead.

Inside, the room feels compact with seating for roughly a few dozen people, closer to a regional contract space than a full Lufthansa Business Lounge in FRA or MUC. Reviews point to a calm atmosphere most of the day, especially outside the morning bank around 06:00–08:00. Regulars with only 20–30 minutes during that rush often skip the lounge entirely and sit near their gate instead.

Food leans heavily on cold snacks and finger food: think cheeses, bread, pastries in the morning, and light bites later on, with limited hot options if any. Drinks cover the basics, with beer, wine, and spirits included, so it works for “a drink and some snacks before boarding” rather than a full meal. If you want something more substantial, plan to eat in the main terminal before heading upstairs.

A couple of small perks lift it above bare-minimum. Free Wi‑Fi runs reliably across the room, and there are massage chairs that frequent flyers routinely mention as the most fun feature. Power outlets sit along some walls and near a few tables, so if you need to charge a laptop before a 90‑minute hop to MUC or ZRH, hunt those spots early.

One quirk: toilets are outside the lounge, and reviews mention confusion about their exact location. Ask staff before you head out so you don’t end up walking halfway back toward the concourse. Practical tip: on arrival at LUX, check same-day lounge hours before security; if your return flight leaves after 20:00 on a Saturday, assume you’ll be eating in the public area instead.
