Electric Vehicle Charging

Free Level 2 charging while you park in LSE’s short-term lot

A Level 2 ChargePoint station sits in the short-term lot at La Crosse Regional Airport (LSE), on the right-hand side toward the end of the row next to the Main terminal. This spot works best for quick visits, drop-offs, or pickups where you can top up the battery while you wait.

The charger runs on the ChargePoint network and, per LSE, usage is currently free. You still activate it like a normal public charger, but there’s no per-kWh or per-hour fee on top of the short-term parking rate posted in the lot.

Activation options are flexible: tap a ChargePoint card, use a wireless credit card authorization, start a session in the ChargePoint mobile app, or call the phone number printed on the station itself. If you’re new to ChargePoint, set up the app with your plate and payment info before you reach the Main terminal so you’re not standing in the lot doing it.

The EV space sits in regular short-term parking, so expect the same walk of just a couple of minutes to the terminal doors. This isn’t meant for long-haul trips; think 30–120 minutes while you meet an arriving flight or check in an early morning departure.

Pro tip: Have a backup plan in case another EV is already plugged in; the lot is small, so pull through first, visually confirm the single ChargePoint unit on the right-hand side near the end of the row, then choose your parking spot.
