Four-minute walk, same rates as North Lot, just on the south side
The South Lot at LNK mirrors the North Lot: surface parking directly across from Terminal T1, about a 4-minute walk to the doors with no shuttle involved. If you usually approach the airport from the south or check in with airlines near that side of the terminal, this lot lines up better than looping around to the garage.
Parking here is on open surface rows facing the terminal, so higher-clearance vehicles and ADA/handicap-accessible vans that can’t fit comfortably in the garage use the South (or North) Lot instead. Airport guidance specifically calls out South and North for accessible van parking, so if you travel with a ramp or lift, start here before trying the garage.
The South Lot matches North Lot pricing but is coupon-eligible: the airport’s program gives $1 off the daily rate or $5 off per week when you register and print or show the offer. With that discount applied, South Lot usually undercuts the on-airport garage for longer trips, especially once you cross the 3–4 day mark.
You also get 20 minutes of free parking in the South Lot, same as in the other LNK lots, and locals quietly use that instead of circling at the curb. For short goodbyes or walking in to meet an arrival on the single baggage claim, pulling a ticket here and leaving within that 20-minute window keeps things calm and cheap.
Practical tip: If you’re planning a week-long trip out of LNK, sign up for the South/North Lot coupon before you drive out, park on the South side that matches your approach road, and keep your ticket handy for the quick 4-minute walk back to T1.
