Gate-side papers and snacks in Terminal T
By 5 a.m., Daily News in Terminal T already has coffee brewing and magazines out, which helps if you’re on the first flights of the day. It’s a classic airport newsstand: newspapers, magazines, paperback novels, plus grab-and-go snacks near the register. You’ll also find basic over-the-counter meds, travel-size toiletries, and a wall of bottled drinks that runs along one side of the shop.
Hours run roughly 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., so this works well for morning and mid-day departures but won’t help with late-night delays. Prices land in typical airport territory: expect a couple of extra dollars on a magazine and $3–$5 for bottled drinks or candy. The shop sits post-security in T, so you can swing through after the checkpoint without backtracking to the ticketing area.
Food is mainly packaged: chips, candy bars, nuts, gum, and a small rack of grab-and-go items next to the coolers. If you need an actual meal at LIT, pair this stop with a nearby restaurant in Terminal T rather than trying to patch together lunch from $4 protein bars. The drink cooler usually has water, sodas, and a few energy drinks lined up on the lower shelves.
One tip: hit Daily News before you head to your gate if your flight leaves after 4:15 p.m.—stock can look picked over close to the 5 p.m. closing time, and some stands near the farther gates in T don’t have the same mix of reading material.
