USO Lounge

Pre-security at LIT, the USO Lounge is the only true lounge option in the building.

The USO Lounge at Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport sits landsid e in Terminal T, so you visit it before TSA. Access is limited to active-duty military, Guard, Reserve, and eligible family members, making it a niche spot in an airport that otherwise has zero pay-per-use lounges. If you qualify, this is the one place in LIT that feels like a step up from the gate chairs and food court tables.

This is a small, volunteer-run room rather than a full-service club. Expect basic seating, some tables, and usually a TV rather than work pods or nap rooms. Reviews mention it as a quiet retreat compared with the main concourse, good for catching up on email or waiting out a delay. Think USO basics: donated snacks, soft drinks, and simple comforts instead of premium liquor or barista drinks.

Because it’s pre-security, you need to factor in TSA timing for your flight out of Terminal T. Figure on 15–25 minutes to clear security at Little Rock during normal daytime hours, a bit more around early morning bank departures. That means you probably want to leave the lounge at least 40 minutes before boarding time, especially if you like to be at the gate ahead of the crowd.

Pricing is simple: access is free for eligible military and families. You won’t find posted day-pass rates, Priority Pass access, or airline status entry here. In an airport where a sit-down meal for two in the concourse can easily hit $35–$40, being able to grab a drink and snack here makes a real difference on a long travel day.

Staff are usually a mix of local volunteers and USO coordinators, and hours can flex with flight schedules and staffing. At small stations like LIT, that sometimes means shorter hours on weekends or late nights. If you have an early departure before 06:00 or a late arrival after 21:00, don’t count on it being open without checking posted hours at the airport or USO website.

Practical tip: check in for your flight and drop bags first, then head to the pre-security USO Lounge, and set an alarm on your phone for your planned TSA cutoff so you don’t lose track of time with the TV and free snacks.
