T1’s First Class Café barely gets mentioned, and that tracks
First Class Café sits airside in Terminal T1, but most coffee-focused flyers talk about local bakeries or the Delta / Starbucks combo instead. That absence says a lot for a place with “First Class” in the name and a rough 2-star reputation. Expect a basic airport café that fills a gap more than it creates a destination.
It’s inside security in T1, so you clear passport control or Schengen security first, then walk toward the main food court cluster before your gates. Pricing runs in standard LIS airport territory: think around €2–3 for coffee drinks, around €3–5 for snacks or pastries, and higher for any hot items or combo deals. Nothing here undercuts what you’ll see in the rest of the terminal.
Menu boards usually show espresso, cappuccino, soft drinks, bottled water, simple pastries, and a few pre-made sandwiches in the €5–8 range. Quality skews functional: fine if you just need caffeine before a 07:00 departure, but it won’t compete with pasteis from the better-known spots elsewhere in T1. Use it as a backup when lines at the bakery stands stretch past 10–15 minutes.
Seating is the usual high-top and small-table mix scattered in front of the counter, enough for a quick 15–20 minute stop but not a place to camp out with a laptop for hours. Power outlets can be hit-or-miss around this part of T1, so don’t plan your only charging stop here. Noise level tracks whatever bank of gates you’re near and can spike close to peak departures.
Tip: If your boarding pass shows a gate more than a 7–10 minute walk away, grab takeaway coffee at First Class Café, then hunt for stronger food options or a quieter seat closer to your gate in T1.
