Electric vehicle parking

Charging-focused parking only at EV Charging Area

If you actually need to charge your car during a trip from Lisbon Airport, the EV Charging Area is the only parking product clearly labeled for electric vehicles at Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS). It serves drivers flying out of Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2), but details like how many chargers exist, the connector types, and the charging speed are not published by the airport.

This is a dedicated electric vehicle parking area, separate from the general long-stay and short-stay car parks at LIS. Official information confirms the EV focus, but not whether charging is bundled into the parking fee or billed separately at the charger. If cost matters, plan as if parking and charging might be two separate line items on your receipt.

Since there are no confirmed charger counts, assume limited availability and avoid cutting it close before a flight from T1 or T2. If your battery is already above 60–70% when you arrive at LIS, you may be better off using a regular car park and charging later in the city, where you know the tariff and connector type for your car.

The airport’s own materials list the EV Charging Area but offer zero detail on maximum stay, power output in kW, or whether spaces are reservable in advance. With that info gap, treat this more as a backup option than your only charging plan, especially on tight schedules or early morning departures before 08:00.

Practical tip: Before choosing the EV Charging Area, check your car’s charging app or Portugal’s public charging maps for stations within 5–10 km of LIS; go there instead if you need guaranteed connector compatibility or transparent per-kWh pricing.
