Primeclass Lounge

Most “Primeclass” access at LIM actually routes you into Sumaq/Caral/VIP Club

At Jorge Chávez International Airport’s Terminal 1, international contract access that’s labeled as Primeclass on apps or with issuers usually means you end up in one of the shared lounges: Sumaq VIP Lounge, Caral VIP Lounge, or the generic VIP Club, all airside after security and passport control. Priority Pass, DragonPass, and bank cards often show a Primeclass option at LIM, but the doors you walk through are almost always those existing clubs near the international gates.

Most databases list the “Primeclass Lounge” as open roughly 24 hours a day in Terminal 1, but on the ground that operating window is covered by Sumaq and Caral, which sit upstairs near gates in the international departures zone and handle overnight departures as late as 03:00. If your digital card or confirmation email says Primeclass, follow airport wayfinding for “VIP Lounge” or “Sumaq/Caral” rather than hunting for a separate Primeclass logo that isn’t clearly signed.

Food and drink standards track the broader LIM lounge scene, where Sumaq and Caral typically put out a rotating hot buffet at peak evening bank times around 21:00–01:00, plus basic self‑serve alcohol with local beer and pisco. Expect self‑service rather than made‑to‑order, and pricing is baked into access schemes like Priority Pass or walk‑up day passes quoted around USD 40–50 at the counter in Terminal 1’s departures level.

Seating, Wi‑Fi, and showers also match the shared ecosystem: Sumaq and Caral have mixed armchairs and café tables for roughly 100–150 guests each, public Wi‑Fi codes printed at reception, and a small number of showers that back up fast between long‑haul departures to Europe and North America from about 18:00 onward. Don’t count on a quiet workspace during those evening waves; use the lounge primarily as a place to charge devices and grab food before boarding.

Since there’s no clearly distinct Primeclass‑branded room with its own entrance, treat “Primeclass Lounge” on your card or app as a label for access rights rather than a separate space in Terminal 1. Practical tip: once you clear security and immigration, go straight up the main escalator by the duty‑free area and check Sumaq first; if the front desk says it’s full, ask specifically if your Primeclass entitlement is valid at Caral or the general VIP Club and they’ll point you to the right door within a 2–3 minute walk.
