Trib's Bar shows up on airport maps, not in trip reports

Post-security at Lille Airport (LIL), Trib's Bar appears in generic guides for Terminal 1 but almost never in FlyerTalk or Reddit threads, which says a lot about how little seasoned flyers mention it. Think of it as a predictable French airport bar: espresso, basic beer and wine, bottled soft drinks, and some counter snacks in the €3–€10 range rather than a destination in itself.

Opening hours usually track the first and last departures out of LIL Terminal 1, so you’ll see it open from roughly 05:30 until early evening when the final Ryanair and easyJet flights push out. That timing works for a quick espresso before a 06:40 departure or a last-minute drink before a 19:00 flight. If you’re on a late charter or heavily delayed, don’t bank on it still serving once the main wave of flights leaves.

Food at spots like Trib’s Bar in France tends to mean pre-made sandwiches, viennoiseries like pain au chocolat and croissants, and the occasional salad box, usually in the €4–€9 bracket. Coffee will likely sit around €2–€3 for an espresso and a bit more for cappuccino, with draft or bottled beer somewhere in the €5–€7 range. With no meaningful reviews to point to, treat it as a filler option: fine when you need calories at gate level, not a place to stretch a layover.

Because there are zero real flyer reviews, there’s no clear “order this, skip that” playbook at Trib’s Bar, and no local favourite dish or drink surfaces in searches from 2020–2024. That silence usually means people grab a quick café or beer and move on. If food quality matters to you, eat in Lille city centre before heading to the airport and use Trib’s for a drink only.

Tip: LIL is small, and walking from central security in Terminal 1 to most gates takes under 5 minutes, so you can stay at Trib’s Bar almost until boarding starts, then watch the monitors and walk straight to your gate when your flight shows “Embarquement.”
