Only post-security convenience store in Terminal 1
After TSA in Terminal 1 at Long Beach (LGB), Travel@Ease Gifts and News is basically your one stop for drinks, snacks, and magazines. It sits airside in the compact terminal, in the same footprint most tours call the CNBC-style news shop, so you won’t miss it walking toward the gates.
Hours aren’t clearly published, but regulars note that the shop opens for the first wave of morning departures and stays open through the last bank of evening flights in Terminal 1. If you land on a late-night arrival after that last departure block, assume the lights might already be off and grab anything you need in-town before you head back to the airport.
Stock lines up with a standard airport newsstand: cold bottled drinks in coolers, grab-and-go chips and candy, a small rack of travel-size toiletries, plus books and magazines for the short LGB hops on JetBlue, Southwest, and others. Expect typical airport pricing with a markup on water and snacks, not downtown bodega cheap, but not luxury-boutique levels either.
The shop also carries last-minute basics like charging cables, headphones, and neck pillows, helpful if you’re connecting through Long Beach on separate tickets and don’t want to gamble on in-flight sales. Don’t expect full meals; this is more “hold you over” snacks than sit-down food, and you’ll pair it with food stands elsewhere in Terminal 1.
Tip: grab water and any toiletries here right after security; the terminal is small, so looping back from your gate takes under five minutes, but lines build before the big morning and late-afternoon departure banks.
