Local Long Beach Greek spot, in Terminal 1 from 10–6
George’s Greek Cafe in Terminal 1 is a spin-off of the Long Beach-area restaurant group, so this isn’t a random generic gyro counter. It runs roughly 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., catching the late-morning wave through the North Concourse. Think quick Greek basics in an airport-sized footprint, not the full downtown menu.
You’re post-security in the single terminal at LGB, so once you’re through TSA you’re free to walk over from any gate in just a few minutes. Expect the usual suspects: gyros, salads, maybe a souvlaki plate, with pricing in typical airport territory rather than downtown bargain levels. This is one of the few spots in the terminal leaning Mediterranean instead of burgers or bar food.
Lines stay manageable because hours top out around 6 p.m., missing some of the later bank of flights. If you land after 6 or have an evening departure, you’ll be pushed toward the other concessions in Terminal 1 instead. Earlier in the day, it’s a reasonable sit-down pause between security and boarding at the smaller North Concourse gates.
Tip: eat here before an afternoon departure; don’t assume anything hot will still be open past 6 p.m. in Terminal 1 at Long Beach.
