Gate-side drinks in Terminal B
Bar sits airside in Terminal B at Leipzig/Halle, a short walk from the Schengen gates, so you can keep an eye on boarding screens while you drink. It runs through the main daytime bank of departures, opening early enough for the first morning flights and usually staying open until the last evening departures clear.
You get a standard German airport mix here: draft beer, bottled beer, basic spirits, soft drinks, and coffee. Expect airport pricing, with beers and simple long drinks around the high single to low double digits in euros once you add tip. Coffee-based drinks cost more than in town but line up with other Zentralterminal bars.
Food is simple bar fare: pre-made sandwiches, small snacks, and packaged sweets you can grab in under 5 minutes. If you want a proper hot meal at LEJ, you’re usually better off sorting that in the Zentralterminal before heading to Terminal B, then using Bar mainly for a drink and a quick bite while you wait at the gate.
Seating runs along the counter plus a few small tables in the open terminal area, so you feel connected to the gate zone rather than tucked away. Power outlets can be hit or miss, so charge your phone near the main B gates before settling in with a drink here.
Tip: if your flight leaves from a B-gate at a remote stand, grab a drink here and finish it 15–20 minutes before scheduled boarding; once you head down to the bus level, options drop to almost nothing.
