Boarding near T2? Rip Curl is your surf stop

Two minutes from most Terminal 2 gates, Rip Curl LAX is the spot for last‑minute SoCal gear before a Delta or WestJet flight. This is a full retail shop, not a kiosk, with wall racks of boardshorts, T‑shirts and hoodies plus flip‑flops and daypacks. It sits airside in T2, so you need to be past security already.

Pricing runs higher than off-airport: expect around $30–$40 for T‑shirts, $50–$70 for hoodies and $25–$35 for hats. Think mall pricing at airport markups. If you forgot swimwear, they usually have multiple sizes of trunks and bikinis on the floor, but stock is thinner on kids’ items compared with adults.

Hours float with the flight banks, but plan on roughly 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily in Terminal 2. Morning is better for browsing; later in the evening, staff sometimes start straightening racks early and some sizes disappear fast. You’re still fine popping in with 20–25 minutes before boarding if you know your size and move quickly.

No major complaints show up yet: fitting rooms exist, returns follow standard airport rules, and cards are accepted for everything, often with contactless readers at the single main register. Selection skews warm‑weather: more tees and boardshorts than heavy jackets, which fits Los Angeles in January more than Toronto in February.

Tip: If you’re tight on time at T2, walk the concourse once; if you don’t see the Rip Curl logo by the midpoint of the hall, you’ve already walked past it and should loop back on the gate side of the shops.
