Gate-side beers in T3 at LA Ale Works
LA Ale Works sits airside in Terminal 3, a short walk from Delta’s gates, and runs on typical airport hours from early morning through the last wave of departures. It’s one of the few spots in T3 focused mainly on beer, so it fills up during the late-afternoon bank of flights between about 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Seating is mostly high-tops along the concourse plus some bar stools facing the taps.
The draw here is the tap list: expect several LA Ale Works brews on draft, usually including a West Coast IPA, a lighter blonde or pilsner, and at least one seasonal option. Draft pours generally land in the $11–$14 range for a full pint, with smaller pours sometimes available if you ask. They also stock canned options, usually a couple of IPAs and a lager at similar pricing.
Food is standard bar fare built for speed. Think burgers, wings, and shareable snacks that hold up between boarding calls, with mains typically running $16–$22. Portions skew large by airport standards, and most dishes come out in 10–15 minutes when the bar isn’t slammed. Nothing here competes with a sit-down restaurant in Terminal 4 or 5, but it easily beats grabbing a sad sandwich at the nearest newsstand.
If you’re watching the clock, the bar staff usually close checks quickly, and it’s an easy 5-minute walk back to most gates in Terminal 3. Power outlets are limited along the rail seating, so charge up near your gate in T3 before you settle in here for a pint and a snack.
