Parking Structure 2B

Terminal parking

Daily max hits $60 here, same as the other CTA garages.

Parking Structure 2B sits in the Central Terminal Area, right by Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, and charges the standard CTA rate of up to $60 per 24 hours for drive-up parking. This is true terminal parking, so you’re inside the loop and close to the curb, not in an economy lot or off-airport shuttle setup.

This garage works best if you’re flying out of Terminal 2 or 3 and care more about walking time than budget. You pay the same CTA pricing tier as Structures 1, 2A, 3, and the rest of the loop, so think of it as buying a shorter walk and skipping a shuttle, rather than hunting for the cheapest option.

LAX’s official site lists $60 as the maximum daily rate for general parking in the CTA, and FlyerTalk regulars group 2B in with those “premium” loop garages. That puts it far above Economy Parking, which typically runs less than half that per day, but Economy sits outside the loop and requires a shuttle ride that can easily add 20–30 minutes.

What regulars actually do: they prebook online and treat 2B and the other CTA structures like airline tickets, locking in an advance rate below the $60 drive-up cap. FlyerTalk posts mention solid savings for bookings made days or weeks ahead, especially during off-peak times and outside major holidays.

There aren’t many 2B-specific complaints in recent threads, but the usual CTA warnings apply: the closer you get to evening rush and Sunday nights, the higher the chance the better levels fill up first. If you’re parking at 2B for a Terminal 2 or 3 flight, aim to arrive at least 60–90 minutes before check-in cutoffs so you’re not circling the loop under pressure.
