LAX Economy Parking

Economy lot

$35/day on-airport parking with a real shuttle instead of CTA prices

LAX Economy Parking sits off Westchester Pkwy at Jetway Bl and runs a shuttle loop to terminals 1–8 and B in about 15 minutes. It’s a multi-level on-airport garage with lower long-term rates than the Central Terminal Area structures, but you trade the walk-in access for a bus ride.

Drive-up pricing runs $35 per day, but regulars lock in around $15/day by prebooking online when sales hit. The QR code for prepaid entries only activates 4 hours before your booked arrival time, so build a buffer into the reservation if your schedule tends to slide earlier.

The structure holds more than 4,000 stalls and includes 514 active EV chargers spread across multiple levels. EV spots fill first on holiday weekends, so plan to arrive early in the day if you need a charger rather than counting on a late-night arrival.

Shuttles run as a dedicated “Economy” route and use a special lane around the horseshoe, but timing is less predictable than walking out of the CTA garages. Figure 15 minutes transit plus 10–15 minutes wait time at peak; late-night shuttles can bunch, so watch the curb and grab the first one that shows.

Access only works cleanly via Westchester Pkwy to Jetway Bl; there’s no usable shortcut from 96th St or the terminal side. Frequent parkers skip terminal traffic entirely, come in from Sepulveda or Lincoln, then turn onto Westchester to reach the garage without looping the horseshoe.

Pro tip: book online a few days ahead, screenshot the QR code, and aim to reach the gate 30–40 minutes before you want to be inside terminals 1–8 or B.
