Concourse C’s sit-down bar at Gate C24
Right in Terminal 1 at Gate C24, Sammy's Beach Bar & Grill is the main full-service bar-and-grill option in the C-gates, so it fills up fast around peak departures. It runs on typical “first and last bank” hours, usually opening in time for early morning flights and staying open into the late-night Vegas departures. Seating is standard high-tops and bar stools, and you are eating right in the concourse, so expect noise and constant boarding calls.
Menu leans heavy on burgers, sandwiches, and island-ish bar food at roughly $15–$25 for mains, putting it solidly in the $$ bracket for Harry Reid. Portions skew big enough that one entrée can work for two lighter eaters on a short layover. The bar pours recognizable spirits plus a few tropical-style cocktails; beer runs around standard airport pricing, not far off $9–$12 a pour.
Food-wise, this is more about hot, sit-down calories than subtlety. Go for a basic burger or chicken sandwich and fries instead of anything overly complicated or sauce-heavy. Most travelers report meals landing in the “fine, not special” category, which tracks with the 1-star aggregate rating but contrasts with some guides that call it one of the better options in Terminal 1’s C concourse.
Service speed depends heavily on bank times at C24, especially when multiple Southwest and legacy carriers crowd the nearby gates. With a 45–60 minute layover in Terminal 1 you can usually sit, order, eat, and pay, but under 30 minutes is pushing it for table service. If you’re tight on time, grab a bar seat so you can flag the bartender for the check before boarding starts.
Tip: Check your gate: from C24 you’re a two‑minute walk to most other C-gates, but allow at least 10–15 minutes if you still need to get back to B or A in Terminal 1 after your meal.
