Remote

Lowest on-airport LAS rate at $12/day if you’ll ride a shuttle

Remote Lot sits off Gilespie Street by the Rent-A-Car center and runs free shuttles to Terminals 1 and 3 in about 8 minutes. Daily max is $12, with short stays at $4 for up to 2 hours and $2 for each additional hour, matching the Economy rate but usually with more open spaces during busy weekends.

This is airport-operated, not a third-party lot, so payment uses the same ticket and pay-on-exit setup as the main garages. Overnight parking of oversized vehicles is banned here, which has tripped up RV and large-van drivers who then get pushed to off-airport options. If you drive anything bigger than a standard SUV, check before you roll onto Gilespie.

Shuttles loop between the Remote Lot and both terminals, with most reports quoting 8–10 minutes gate-to-lot when things are moving. Late-night and pre-dawn (around 3–4 a.m.), a few travelers mention 20-minute gaps when drivers rotate breaks, so build in that extra swing time if you’ve got a 6 a.m. departure out of Terminal 1.

In summer heat, the unshaded shuttle stops are the main gripe; locals describe “roasting” in July if you just missed a bus. Regulars counter that by timing their arrival 30–45 minutes earlier than they would for garage parking, especially around Thanksgiving and CES when the garages start to fill and airport staff redirect cars out to Remote and overflow lots.

What locals do: drop the bags and crew at Terminal 1 or 3, then send the driver to Remote Lot alone, cutting the shuttle hassle to just one person. If you’re landing back at LAS late at night, grab water inside the terminal first; you might be standing 10–15 minutes at the lot stop in 100°F air.
