USO Lounge

3

Open daily in Terminal 3, the USO Lounge sits pre-security.

The USO Lounge is on the public side of Terminal 3 at Harry Reid International Airport, so you reach it before TSA. That makes it useful if family or friends drop someone off and want a quiet spot to say goodbye before they head to security. Only active-duty military, reservists, Guard members, and qualified dependents get access here, so have your military ID ready at check-in.

Because it’s in Terminal 3, this USO spot lines up well with international departures on airlines like Copa, Korean Air, and select domestic flights from that terminal. If you’re flying out of Terminal 1 on Southwest or Spirit, you can still use the lounge, but you’ll need to budget extra time to ride the tram and clear security at T1 afterward. Build at least a 35–45 minute buffer between leaving the lounge and boarding from another terminal.

As with most USO centers, expect free snacks and drinks, usually simple packaged items plus coffee, tea, and soft drinks. Donations and volunteer shifts drive what’s on offer at any given time, so don’t count on a full meal the way you might at a paid airline club. The tradeoff: you’re not paying a day-pass fee here, and you’re surrounded by other service members rather than regular terminal crowds.

The lounge typically keeps airport-friendly hours that track with morning and late-afternoon departure banks from Terminal 3. Early flights around 06:00 often see the doors already open, and the space usually stays available into the evening when long-haul flights push out after 20:00. Still, check same-day hours with USO Las Vegas or the airport website before you head over, because volunteer staffing can shorten or shift the schedule.

Access rules are standard USO: active-duty, Guard, Reserve, retirees, and eligible family with ID; this is not a Priority Pass or credit card lounge. If your dependent or retiree card is expired, staff can’t bend the rule, even if your flight leaves from a nearby T3 gate in an hour. Bring a backup form of proof if your status changed recently, like DD Form 2 or 1173.

Practical tip: if you’re flying out of Terminal 1, leave the USO Lounge at least 60 minutes before boarding to allow for the inter-terminal tram ride plus a potentially slow TSA line at T1.
