T4’s main spot for nuts and sweets
Gate-side in Terminal 4’s duty free zone, Al Rifai is the snack stop between security and the Kuwait Airways boarding gates. You’ll see the shop just past the main perfume and cosmetics area, so you don’t need to backtrack from most T4 gates.
This is a classic Middle Eastern nut and confectionery brand, set up here as a duty free shop in T4. Shelves run heavy on roasted nuts, mixed nuts, kernels, coffee, and packaged sweets, all sealed and easy to throw in a carry-on.
Expect gift tins and multipacks in the 3–10 KWD range, plus smaller snack bags under 3 KWD for something quick to eat in the gate seats. Pricing is higher than city supermarkets but in line with other Gulf airport duty free spots.
Most items come pre-packed in standard 250 g or 500 g formats rather than custom scooping, which keeps the stop under 5 minutes if you already know what you like. That’s handy in T4, where Kuwait Airways boarding often starts a solid 45 minutes before departure.
Staff usually point first to mixed nut blends and pistachios; those move fast enough that stock turnover stays decent. If you only want one thing to carry home, go for a mid-size metal tin with the Al Rifai logo rather than multiple small bags.
Tip: if you’re flying out of Terminal 4 and want gifts, skip buying nuts in town and keep your hands free; plan a 10-minute stop at Al Rifai after security instead.
