Orange Chicken in T1 after security

Panda Express sits airside in Terminal 1 at Kuwait International, just past security, and runs daily from 10:00 to 22:00. It’s one of the few quick options for Chinese-style fast food in the terminal, which matters on long connection days. You order at the counter, pick your base (rice or noodles), then add one or two mains from the hot line.

Prices sit firmly in the budget tier for the airport, roughly in the $ range for a generous combo plate with a drink. Expect the usual suspects: orange chicken, Beijing beef, kung pao chicken, plus mixed veggies and fried rice. Portions are heavier than most T1 cafés, so one two-entree plate can easily cover a full meal.

Food comes out fast since everything sits in warming trays, useful if you’re boarding from a nearby T1 gate in under 30 minutes. Quality is standard mall-Panda: sweet sauces, crunchy breading, nothing subtle. Orange chicken and kung pao tend to be the safest calls; mixed vegetables and chow mein can turn a bit soft after a while under the heat lamps, especially later in the evening.

Seating is the usual shared Terminal 1 food-court setup with tables in front of several brands. At busy evening departure banks, every second chair near Panda Express and its neighbors fills, so be ready to carry your tray toward less crowded gates. The upside: you stay close enough to watch boarding screens for flights leaving from the mid-teen gates.

One practical tip: if your flight hits during the lunch rush, order a single three-entree plate at Panda Express and split it; it often costs less than two separate smaller meals elsewhere in Terminal 1 and keeps you out of line twice.
