24/7 burgers in Terminal 1 when everything else is dark

This McDonald's sits airside in Terminal 1, after security, and it basically never closes: it runs 24/7, which matters on late-night and 04:00 departures. It’s one of the few spots at Kuwait International where you can grab hot food at 02:30 without hunting around the concourse.

Prices sit at the low end for KWI, firmly in the $ tier, so a basic burger combo usually runs less than many café sandwiches in T1. You get the global standard fast-food menu: Big Mac, McChicken, Filet-O-Fish, fries, soft drinks, plus rotating local specials that change every few months.

Being in Terminal 1 means it mainly serves Kuwait Airways and other legacy carriers using T1, not Jazeera flights from T5 or Kuwait Airways long-haul departures from T4. If you land in T4 or T5, you can’t walk here airside; you’d need to clear immigration and re-clear security into T1, which rarely makes sense just for a burger.

Service speed is typical McDonald’s: expect 5–10 minutes at off-peak times and closer to 15 minutes when multiple widebodies bank around midnight. Seating is standard plastic tables right by the concourse in T1, so you’re eating within sight of nearby gates rather than in a separate dining room.

Menu basics are safest: fries, Big Mac, and chicken sandwiches turn over quickly because of high volume in Terminal 1, which keeps them fresher. Desserts like McFlurry and soft-serve are hit or miss late night if the ice cream machine is down, and shakes can run out around peak holiday periods.

Practical tip: if you have a tight connection under 45 minutes in T1, order first at McDonald’s and then find your gate; the walk within Terminal 1 usually takes less than 10 minutes, and you’ll board with food in hand instead of joining the line near final call.
