P4 Car Park

Economy long-stay

Daily rates at P4 Car Park usually undercut KEF’s closer lots.

P4 Car Park sits in the economy long-stay section of Keflavik International Airport, serving Terminal 1. It’s set up for trips that run several days or more, with pricing scaled for longer stays instead of short drop-offs. If you plan to be away for a week or more, P4 is typically cheaper per day than the main short-stay options near the terminal doors.

This is an outdoor car park with standard marked bays, not covered parking or a multi-storey. It’s signed on airport approach roads under “P4 Economy Long-stay,” so look for the P4 symbol once you pass the KEF terminal 1 turnoffs. Because it’s an official airport lot, you pay in ISK at machines or barriers, and the tariff boards at the entrance show the current daily and weekly rates.

P4 is farther from Terminal 1 than P1–P2, so build in extra time compared with parking right by departures. Walking time varies by row, but plan at least several minutes more than parking at the premium lots near check-in desks 1–24. If KEF operates a shuttle on your dates, it will be signed from the P4 bus stop; otherwise, you’ll be walking the marked pedestrian route toward the main terminal.

Security at P4 is airport-standard, with lighting columns and patrols across the official parking areas at Keflavik. Still, don’t leave visible valuables on seats, and note your row number as printed on the nearest signpost. Take a quick photo of your bay and the “P4” pole so you can find the car quickly after a late-night arrival into Terminal 1.

Tip: check your airline’s check-in opening time for Terminal 1 and aim to arrive at P4 at least 30–40 minutes before that to allow for parking, ticket payment, and the walk or shuttle to departures.
