Hummingbird Hollow Gift Shop

Near T1 security, Hummingbird Hollow Gift Shop is the main stop for local souvenirs at Juneau

This shop sits airside in T1 at Juneau International, just past the security checkpoint and before most of the gates. It focuses heavily on Alaska-themed items: think salmon and reindeer snack packs, regional chocolates, and locally branded gear with “Juneau” or humpback whales splashed across it. Prices run higher than downtown Juneau, but still in normal airport territory, with snacks starting around $3–$5 and hoodies often in the $40–$60 range.

Hummingbird Hollow usually opens for the first wave of departures in the early morning and stays open through the last evening flights, roughly tracking Alaska Airlines’ schedule at JNU. That makes it one of the more reliable spots if you land on a 6:00 a.m. arrival or depart on an 8:00–9:00 p.m. flight. You can grab last-minute gifts, basic toiletries, and a few kids’ items without needing to leave the secure side of T1.

You’ll see the typical airport mix here: logo mugs, magnets under $10, plush wildlife toys, and some regional books about Southeast Alaska and the Inside Passage. Packaged smoked salmon and jerky are common buys, and they’re all TSA-friendly for carry-ons. It’s not a full newsstand, but you can still pick up a paperback, a puzzle book, or a deck of cards alongside the souvenirs.

Tip: if you want snacks or gifts for the flight, stop at Hummingbird Hollow right after security in T1; options shrink fast once you walk down toward the smaller gates.
