Long Term Public Parking

On-site

$16 per day gets you Juneau’s walkable long-stay option

Figure a 2-minute walk from your car to T1: Long Term Public Parking sits directly in front of the terminal, same side as the short-term lot but priced for multi-day trips. Rates run $5 for 0–120 minutes, then $1 per additional hour, capped at a $16 daily maximum with no shuttle involved.

This lot is run by Republic Parking Systems and treated by locals as the leave-it-for-a-week spot. Compared to the short-term daily rate of about $49 per calendar day, parking here for three days comes out to roughly $48 total, which is why people flying out for several days almost always pick long-term.

Both the short- and long-term lots have marked accessible spaces called out by the city, and they’re close enough that even slower walkers generally skip any ride assistance. There’s no published shuttle, no garage levels to deal with, and no separate overflow lot tied to this section.

Regulars pay attention to one specific line on the airport site: “No Overflow Parking Available” for long-term. In peak summer and fishing season, locals often line up rides or taxis instead of gambling on a full lot the morning of a 6:00 a.m. departure. Off-peak, they usually just drive in and park.

Tip: if you’re leaving the car more than about 6–7 hours, skip the short-term lot; hitting the $16 long-term cap is usually cheaper than letting the short-term clock roll into the evening.
