Opposite the Terminal 1 check-in desks, this is your sit-down stop

Bistro dei Cavalieri sits airside in Terminal 1 at JMK, a short walk from the single security checkpoint, so you can see your gate screens from most tables. It runs on typical island hours: opening early morning for the first departures and usually staying open through the last evening flights, though in shoulder season it can close around the time of the final Aegean or Sky Express departures.

The menu leans casual café-bar: espresso, soft drinks, beer, wine by the glass, and simple bites like sandwiches and salads, with prices higher than town but normal for a small island airport. Expect to pay around €4–€5 for coffee, €6–€8 for beer or wine, and €8–€15 for light food, so this is more “kill an hour with a drink and snack” than full sit-down dinner territory.

Service is European-paced, which matters when your Mykonos–Athens hop boards from a nearby gate often just 25–30 minutes after scheduled boarding time appears. Order at the counter if staff seem stretched; it’s quicker than waiting for table service when multiple flights depart within the same 45‑minute block. Card payment is accepted, and receipts clearly show Terminal 1 and the day’s date, which can help with company expense claims.

Tip: if your boarding pass shows a bus gate, grab food or drinks here before heading to the holding area, since once you scan at the gate downstairs there’s usually nothing but benches and the walk to the aircraft steps.
