Pret A Manger fans expecting a branch at JMK won’t find one.
Terminal 1 at Mykonos Airport has no Pret A Manger at all, and as of 2023 Reddit reports still say “no Pret, no Starbucks, nothing like that.” The only food inside the building is a small local café and a kiosk, not a branded grab-and-go counter with the usual Pret sandwiches and soups.
This airport café setup sits in Terminal 1 and stays on the pre-security side, so you pass it before passport control and the single security checkpoint. The Pret A Manger name sometimes appears in generic airport write-ups, but there is no physical Pret outlet at JMK, either before or after security.
Travelers used to £4–£6 Pret baguettes and predictable filter coffee will not see those SKUs on the boards here. Multiple Reddit threads describe JMK as having “just basic local options”, which feels sparse if your usual airport routine is grabbing a specific Pret veggie wrap or salad by gate in London, Amsterdam, or Paris.
Regular Greece visitors say they solve this by buying a sandwich or salad in Mykonos Town or at their hotel and bringing it to the airport. Flyertalk posters compare JMK to a “small island strip” and explicitly say: eat beforehand and don’t bank on a Pret-style fallback once you’re at the terminal.
Watch out for the vegetarian gap: several comments mention missing the kind of reliable veggie options they lean on at Pret and similar chains in bigger European hubs. If you have specific dietary needs, assume the local café may not match Pret’s labeled selection or ingredient detail.
Practical tip: treat “Pret A Manger at JMK” as a phantom listing; grab your coffee and sandwich in town, then arrive at Terminal 1 with food in hand and treat the airport café as backup only.
