Gate time-killer in T7: Hudson is your default stop
This Hudson sits airside in Terminal 7, after security, and ends up as the quick grab spot for most T7 departures. You’ll see it along the main concourse used by BA and other international carriers, so you can duck in on the walk to your gate without doubling back.
Hours usually track the flight banks in T7, roughly early morning through the last evening departures, with shelves restocked ahead of the 6–9 p.m. transatlantic push. If you land on a late inbound around 11 p.m., expect the lights to be going off or already closed.
Snacks run airport-normal pricing: think $3–$4 for bottled water, $2–$4 for candy or chips, and higher for grab-and-go sandwiches in the $9–$13 range. Coffee and soft drinks sit in coolers near the entrance, so you can be in and out in under 5 minutes if boarding has started.
Magazines, paperbacks, and crossword books line one wall, with U.S. newspapers often gone by mid-afternoon on busy BA days. Branded New York souvenirs, from $8 keychains to $30 sweatshirts, fill the center racks, along with travel basics like neck pillows and eye masks.
Toiletries and tech accessories stay in the back half of the shop: travel-size painkillers, toothbrush kits, phone chargers, and cables, often at a markup compared to the city but cheaper than skipping them. If you forgot an international plug adapter before a T7 long-haul, this is usually where you find one.
Pro tip: stop here before heading to the far end gates in Terminal 7; options thin out the closer you get to boarding doors.
