The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in JFK Terminal 4 only takes Priority Pass from 05:00 to 13:30, so this is a morning play, not a place to camp all afternoon. After 13:30, access tightens back to Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and eligible elites on Terminal 4 departures.

You’ll find the Clubhouse airside in Terminal 4, up in the lounge zone reached after security, so you need a same-day T4 boarding pass to even get upstairs. Figure 15–20 minutes from the T4 security line to settling into a seat here, including the elevator ride and check-in scan.

Doors open at 05:00 sharp, and Priority Pass cards only scan until 13:30. If you’re on a midday or early afternoon flight from Terminal 4, aim to arrive at JFK around 10:30–11:00 to squeeze in one solid lounge visit before the cutoff, then walk to your gate by boarding time.

Access rules are simple: Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and eligible elite flyers get in during published hours, and Priority Pass works only in that 5 a.m.–1:30 p.m. band. No access from other terminals like 1, 5, 7, or 8 unless you separately clear into Terminal 4 with a T4 departure.

Regulars with Priority Pass build their whole JFK plan around that early window, often taking a slightly earlier Uber or train just to hit the lounge before the 13:30 cutoff. If you land into T4 on a morning arrival and connect onward from the same terminal, they’ll try to line up a layover of at least 90 minutes to make the stop worthwhile.

Food and drink are included, so every minute inside has real value compared with ordering at a Terminal 4 gate bar, where a basic drink can run $15–$18. Figure one sit-down plate and two drinks as a realistic haul if you arrive about 60–90 minutes before boarding.

One tip: if your lounge strategy depends on Priority Pass here, treat 13:00 as the real cutoff and head up earlier. Staff can get busy close to 13:30, and you don’t want to be the person turned away at the desk with a valid card and a late watch.
