Primeclass Lounge

One shower, 12-hour day: that’s the Primeclass T1 deal

Open 09:00–21:00 in Terminal 1, the Primeclass Lounge near Gates 8–9 mainly earns its keep as a place to grab a shower and sit somewhere quieter than the main hall. Access runs through Priority Pass and other independent programs, plus a walk-up day pass at about $68, so you’re paying real money for basic comfort, not luxury.

The lounge sits after security by Gates 8 and 9; you check in at the desk on the main level, then head downstairs to the seating and buffet. Layout is single-room style with standard lounge chairs and tables, and capacity feels tight once a couple of widebody banks roll in for evening departures after 17:00. Power outlets are mixed but present; plan on hunting a bit if you need to charge a laptop before a 19:00 departure.

Food runs typical contract-lounge buffet: hot trays at meal times, basic snacks between, and self-serve non-alcoholic drinks alongside a small bar selection, all inside the same downstairs space near Gates 8–9. Quality comments skew “fine for a quick plate, not worth arriving 3 hours early” and nothing here replaces a proper terminal restaurant if you’re already airside more than 2–3 hours.

The single shower suite sits at the back of the lounge, and regulars say to put your name on the list at reception the second you enter. With only one shower, waits can stretch well past 30–45 minutes during the 17:00–21:00 long-haul bank, so build that into your boarding time if your flight from T1 boards 40 minutes before departure.

Wi‑Fi tests around 4.66 Mbps down and 4.9 Mbps up, which is fine for email and messaging but weak for big downloads or high-res video calls. Recent reports also call out lines for the regular bathrooms during the same 17:00–21:00 peak, so don’t save your pre-flight stop for the last 10 minutes before heading to a gate like 8 or 9.

Tip: If you’re paying the $68 day rate, time it around a long layover or a post-work evening flight from Terminal 1, check in by the Gates 8–9 desk as early as your access allows, and get your name on the shower list before you even look for a seat.
