Gate-side coffee stop in Terminal 1

Hemat sits in King Abdulaziz International Airport’s Terminal 1, handy if you’re flying Saudia or another international carrier out of the newer terminal. It’s past security, so you don’t need extra time on the landside side of JED to grab a drink here.

Think quick fuel: hot coffee, tea, and grab-and-go snacks that work for an early-morning departure or a late-night arrival. Pricing lines up with other Terminal 1 outlets at JED, so expect airport markups rather than downtown Jeddah café levels.

Terminal 1 at JED runs 24 hours with waves of long‑haul flights, and Hemat generally tracks those peaks, so you’ll usually find it open when the main international banks depart in the late evening and overnight. If you have a short connection inside Terminal 1, this is an easier stop than hunting for something landside or in the Hajj terminal.

Seats in this part of Terminal 1 fill fast around the 22:00–02:00 bank, so plan on taking your coffee back to the gate if you’re flying during those hours. Lines move quicker than some of the full‑service restaurants in the same terminal, which can easily run to 20–30 minutes when multiple widebodies are boarding.

Tip: use Hemat as your last stop after security in Terminal 1, then carry everything to the gate; JED boarding often starts 45–60 minutes before departure, and you don’t want to be stuck in a queue behind a food order when your row is called.
