Gate-side caffeine fix in Terminal 1

In King Abdulaziz International Airport’s Terminal 1, Starbucks gives you a familiar coffee option after security in the main departures hall. It’s a standard airport setup: counter service, limited seating, and a steady line during the morning and late-night bank of flights. If you want anything beyond basic water or juice, this is one of the easiest coffee stops in T1.

Expect the usual Starbucks menu: espresso drinks, brewed coffee, Frappuccino-style blends, and a small case of pastries and sandwiches. Prices run higher than city branches in Jeddah, as you’d expect in Terminal 1, but still within typical international-airport Starbucks range. If you’re boarding a long-haul flight on Saudia or another carrier from T1, this is a straightforward place to grab a latte and a snack you already recognize.

Lines spike around the 06:00–09:00 and 22:00–01:00 departure waves in Terminal 1, when several Saudia and international flights board close together. Staff move reasonably quickly, but mobile ordering isn’t a real option here, so budget 10–15 minutes from joining the queue to walking away with a drink during those peaks. If you’re on a tight 40-minute connection inside T1, skip the custom drinks and ask for hot coffee or bottled options instead.

You’ll find typical Starbucks food: muffins, croissants, simple sandwiches, and prepacked snacks in the cooler. If your flight from JED runs over 5 hours and you’re not sure about the onboard meal, grabbing a sandwich and a large water here in Terminal 1 hedges against delays. Avoid trying experimental drinks that need lots of syrups or customizations; the baristas are working through a constant line and simple orders land faster and more consistently.

Tip: Hit Starbucks in Terminal 1 before you walk to far-out gates, especially if you’re at the higher 20s or 30s gate numbers, since backtracking through the concourse can easily chew up 15 minutes.
