Gate-side, Terminal 1 McDonald’s runs 24/7 at JED

This McDonald’s sits post-security in Terminal 1, so you’re past immigration and ready to eat without clock-watching. It’s one of the few spots in JED T1 serving full American fast food around the clock, which matters on those 03:00 departures and 05:30 arrivals.

Menu is what you expect: Big Mac, McChicken, Filet-O-Fish, fries, plus the usual soft drinks and sundaes. The Big Mac is the safe order and usually lands on your tray in under 5–10 minutes, even when multiple widebodies from Saudia and foreign carriers dump passengers into the concourse at once.

Pricing sits squarely in the $ tier for the airport, with a basic burger meal running less than many sit-down spots in Terminal 1. You pay airport markup, but it’s still one of the cheapest hot options within the secured area, especially if you skip extras and stick to a sandwich and fries combo.

Seating spills into the general food court area near other Terminal 1 outlets, so tables can go fast during evening waves between 20:00 and 01:00. If it’s packed, grab your tray and walk a minute or two down the concourse toward the mid-60 gates to find quieter chairs along the windows.

Service is counter-only with numbered receipts; listen for your number or watch the overhead screens if they’re on. There’s usually at least one card terminal working, but always have a backup payment method ready, since occasional reports mention contactless hiccups during late-night shifts.

Tip: If you land in Hajj Terminal on a seasonal flight and connect out of Terminal 1, don’t bank on time to eat there; clear transfers first, then use this McDonald’s only once you’re firmly in T1 post-security.
