Bus

One seat from ITM to Namba/Dotonbori beats dragging bags through Umeda.

Limousine Bus Namba Line runs about 4–5 times per hour from Osaka Itami Airport (T) to Namba, with the last departure around 21:10, so it suits most daytime and evening arrivals who want a direct ride to hotel-heavy streets near Dotonbori.

From the South Terminal at ITM, you use bus stop 11 for Namba; from the North Terminal, you use bus stop 1, which is different from the Umeda bus stops and catches out people who just follow the Umeda signs without checking the number.

The run to Nankai Namba Station usually takes about 30–40 minutes depending on traffic on the Hanshin Expressway, which still beats making a 2-transfer train combo through Umeda when you have a 23 kg suitcase and a carry-on.

One-way fares on the Limousine Bus Namba Line generally sit in the ¥650–¥800 range per adult, so two people riding the bus come out cheaper than a ¥3,000–¥4,000 taxi from ITM to central Namba in normal traffic.

Buses run roughly every 12–15 minutes in busy daytime periods, so if you miss one at 14:10 you’re normally looking at another departure around 14:20–14:25, not a long wait with luggage stacked in the marked bays beside the curb.

Regulars on FlyerTalk say they go straight from ITM to Namba on this line instead of riding into Umeda and then paying another ¥230–¥280 for a subway hop back down to Namba, which adds extra stairs and crowds in Osaka Station City.

There’s no big complaint pattern in recent reviews, but note that buses taper off around the 21:10 mark, so if your flight lands at 21:00 and immigration runs long, you may be stuck comparing a roughly ¥4,000 taxi against a late train combo via Hotarugaike.

Tip: at T, walk outside arrivals and confirm the signboard says “Namba / なんば” at stop 11 (South) or 1 (North) before you queue; that quick check keeps you off the Umeda bus by mistake and saves a round of backtracking.
