Gate-side sweets stop near T gates, open 6:30 sharp

kiyasusohonpo in Terminal T runs daily from 6:30 to 18:00, so it actually catches the first wave of morning departures at Itami. It sits airside in the main T concourse, which means you can grab boxed snacks and sweets after security without backtracking to landside shops.

This is a food-focused shop, leaning heavily into packaged Japanese snacks that travel well. Expect neatly boxed confections sized for carry-on, individual treats you can hand out at the office, and bags of local-style sweets that survive a connecting flight. Prices skew mid-range versus the bigger souvenir stores in T, with plenty in the ¥800–¥1,500 band that works for last-minute omiyage.

Most items are grab-and-go, so you’re in and out in under 10 minutes if you already know how many gifts you need. Packaging is flight-friendly: rectangular boxes that slide easily into a roller, fewer bulky tins. If you’re picky about expiration dates, flip the box—Japanese labels clearly print “賞味期限” with the year-month-day, even if everything else is in Japanese.

Staff usually bag items separately, and will double-bag heavier boxes on request, which helps if you’re changing planes once or twice. If your boarding time is inside 30 minutes, shop first, then grab coffee elsewhere in T; this spot is closer to a takeaway counter than a café, and you won’t lose time waiting for drinks.
