Gate-side French pastries at Itami’s Terminal T

Just past security in Terminal T, Henri Charpentier runs 6:00–20:00 and focuses on boxed sweets you can take on a domestic ANA or JAL hop. The counter is small, so think grab-and-go rather than café seating. It’s an easy stop if your gate is in T’s central area and you want something gift-ready in under 5 minutes.

The signature is the financier, sold in multi-piece boxes that fit easily in a cabin bag. Expect prices in the typical Kansai department-store range: not cheap, but below 2,000–3,000 yen for many gift boxes. Staff pack items neatly with extra paper bags, which helps if you’re handing them off immediately after landing at ITM or on arrival in Tokyo.

Packaging skews formal omiyage style, closer to what you’d see in Umeda than at most airport souvenir stands. You’ll see seasonal tins and color-coded boxes, each clearly labeled with quantities and prices in yen. Expiry dates are usually several weeks out, so a box can survive a multi-city itinerary without stress.

Skip anything you could grab at a generic convenience store in Osaka and focus on the brand-specific baked goods: financiers, madeleines, and limited-edition assortments. Items are individually wrapped, which passes most customs checks for sealed snacks, but always confirm rules if you’re connecting internationally after ITM. If this is on your list, swing by before 19:30; late-evening visits sometimes mean reduced selection as they sell through the day’s stock.
