BLUE SKY

Gate-side snacks at ITM’s Terminal T

BLUE SKY sits airside in Osaka Itami’s Terminal T and leans hard into Kansai flavors. You’ll see rows of local sweets boxed for gifting, from Osaka cheesecake-style treats to individually wrapped cakes sitting around the ¥1,000–¥2,000 mark. It feels more like a regional souvenir stop than a generic airport newsstand, so this is where you grab omiyage if you forgot to shop in town.

Hours generally track with flight banks in Terminal T, opening from early morning through evening departures, so you can swing by before the first ANA or JAL wave. Expect shelves of takoyaki-flavored snacks, okonomiyaki crackers, and bottled drinks you can carry through boarding. Prices are typical for a Japanese airport: a pack of regional cookies might run ¥700–¥1,500, while drinks sit around ¥150–¥300.

Food-wise, focus on prepacked items that travel well. Vacuum-sealed goods and boxed assortments handle a Shinkansen ride or a domestic hop from ITM to Tokyo Haneda or Sapporo Chitose. Skip anything that needs refrigeration if you have more than 3–4 hours until your final stop. Staff usually bag items neatly and can split purchases into multiple gift bags if you ask.

One practical tip: walk BLUE SKY before you buy elsewhere in Terminal T. Many smaller kiosks near gates repeat the same Kansai brands, but BLUE SKY often has the bigger box sizes and multi-flavor sets, which save yen and suitcase space if you’re picking up gifts for a whole office.
