Priority Pass doesn’t work here, but local credit cards do
Inside Terminal T at Osaka Itami, this generic “Credit Card Holder Lounge” setup runs daily from 06:30 to 20:00 and functions like the usual Japanese domestic card lounge, not a full-service airline club. It’s airside in the terminal, mainly useful if you already carry one of the long list of eligible cards and just need a seat and some soft drinks before a JL or NH hop.
Access runs off issuer logos, not airline status: Citi cards, Diners Club, JCB, VJA group, TS CUBIC, American Express, UFJ, DC, NicoS, MUFG, Life CARD, UC, Credit Saison, Rakuten Card, APLUS, EPOS CARD, MICARD, JACCS CARD, ORICO, AEON CARD, POCCKET CARD, d CARD, PayPay CARD, au PAY, DragonPass and GBC all work in some combination. Staff check the physical plastic, so have the actual card ready rather than just a mobile wallet image.
If you don’t have eligible plastic, pricing is straightforward: one adult companion costs 1,253 yen, anyone aged 3–17 is 622 yen, and kids under 3 enter free. That spend makes sense only if you value a quieter seat and non-alcoholic drinks; at ITM, 1,253 yen also buys a proper sit-down meal at several airside restaurants.
Think basic domestic card lounge standards: self-serve soft drinks, simple coffee machines, and standard seating. Don’t expect showers, beds, or made-to-order food; these spaces at Itami function closer to a calm waiting room than a business-class flagship. If you want a hot meal, you still end up at a restaurant gate-side before your boarding time shows at the screens.
This setup often gets lumped online under vague names like “Credit Card Lounge Itami,” but on the ground it behaves like any other Japanese card lounge, with limited signage and branding. There’s no evidence of special amenities beyond the basics, and nothing here justifies arriving an extra hour early purely for lounge time at Terminal T.
Practical tip: if you already carry JCB, Amex, Rakuten Card, or another listed issuer, factor in 10 extra minutes between security and your gate to duck in, grab a soft drink, charge your phone, and head back out before boarding starts about 20–30 minutes before departure.
