Most Priority Pass flyers at IST now walk straight to iGA.

Primeclass Lounge branding still shows up in some Priority Pass listings at Istanbul Airport Main Terminal, but in current practice almost all non–Turkish Airlines passengers are funneled to the massive iGA Lounge instead. If your app says “Primeclass” at IST, double‑check the lounge name and level on the same screen; nine times out of ten it actually routes you to iGA.

Access usually runs on Priority Pass and similar schemes, with digital cards accepted and walk‑ups often turned away at peak banks tied to late‑night Europe and Gulf departures. Contract arrangements for airlines at IST change regularly, so if your boarding pass explicitly prints “iGA Lounge” or “Primeclass” alongside Main Terminal, follow the sign on the paper over whatever a third‑party app says.

Frequent‑flyer threads on FlyerTalk from 2023–2024 name only the iGA Lounge as the paid/scheme option for non‑Star Alliance carriers at Istanbul Airport, with Primeclass barely mentioned across pages of discussion. That lines up with recent blog reviews in 2025 and 2026, which send Priority Pass holders to iGA by name and don’t even list a separate Primeclass Lounge in their lounge‑map sections.

Comments from BA‑heavy and oneworld‑heavy flyers in those same threads show a simple pattern: if you’re not in Turkish Airlines Business or Elite Plus status, you go to iGA; nobody talks about hunting down a distinct Primeclass space anymore. That silence from people flying 50–100 segments a year through IST says more than any single review score.

What regulars do: Priority Pass, DragonPass, and bank‑card lounge members posting in 2024 simply write “I used the iGA Lounge in the Main Terminal” when describing non‑TK access, even when their card technically lists “Primeclass / iGA” on the same line. Regulars take the escalators up to iGA’s large common lounge in Main and don’t bother asking staff about a separate Primeclass‑only door.

Watch out for: outdated signage and app names can still say “Primeclass Lounge IST,” which leads some first‑timers to wander the Main Terminal’s central concourse looking for branding that may not exist at all floors anymore. If the departure screens and airport wayfinding only show “iGA Lounge,” follow those arrows; arguing the name at the reception desk at 22:30, right before the Europe bank, just wastes 10–15 minutes of buffer.

Practical play: reach the Main Terminal security checkpoint at least 90 minutes before departure, follow airport signs to the iGA Lounge even if your Priority Pass printout says “Primeclass,” and treat iGA as the real contract lounge product at IST today.
