Gate 11/12 at INN is where the Tyrol Lounge hides.

This is a single compact room at the far end of Terminal 1 near gates 11 and 12, open daily from 05:00 to 19:00. Think quiet holding pen for BA and Austrian elites, not a big hub lounge. It opened in 2017, so the furniture and finishes still feel relatively fresh compared with many regional European lounges of the same size.

Access works via Austrian Airlines Business Class boarding passes plus programs like Priority Pass, Lounge Club, Lounge KEY, Diners Club International and Lounge Pass. Official day pass pricing at INN is listed as €29.50, while bloggers have also seen walk-up access quoted at €34, so expect something in that band if you are paying cash. Staff scan you in at a small desk right at the entrance.

Inside, you get several seating zones, around a few dozen seats in total, and more power outlets than you would expect in such a small airport. One corner is styled as a tiny “library” area with bookshelves, as noted in the SingleFlyer review from 2019. BA flyers on FlyerTalk even joke about it being one of BA’s better mainland Europe outstation lounges purely because INN usually has no other premium space.

Food and drink stay basic: light snacks, packaged items and standard drinks rather than hot meals, with self-service fridges and coffee machines. This lines up with TripAdvisor reviews that call it modest and SingleFlyer’s take that it is “the only lounge at INN” but clearly not a flagship. If you want a full lunch, you will still be looking at the public restaurants in Terminal 1.

Regulars on BA and Austrian treat the Tyrol Lounge as a power-and-chair stop close to the gate, not a destination. They show up 30–45 minutes before a flight from gates 11 or 12, grab a drink, charge phones and walk straight to boarding when called. For them the selling point is simply sitting away from the general seating area on a busy Saturday ski rotation.

Watch out for peak ski Saturdays in winter, when multiple TripAdvisor reviews say the lounge is “way too small for the demand” and “so full” it becomes uncomfortable. Families should also note that one frequent complaint is the lack of baby changing facilities, which can make the €29.50–€34 entry feel poor value.

Practical tip: if your flight does not use gates 11 or 12 and you only have 30 minutes, skip the walk to the far end of Terminal 1 and stay in the main seating areas instead.
